Women’s Health

Our expert obstetric–gynecologic team provides specialized care for women at every stage of life, including annual gynecologic exams, cancer screenings, contraceptive counseling, and treatment for endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, and menopause symptoms. We support women throughout pregnancy and childbirth, providing care for routine and high-risk pregnancies. Deliveries take place at the nearby �����о��� Langone Hospital—Long Island.

Surgical Care

Our surgical services include consultations and follow-up care for the following:

• breast cancer surgery, including lumpectomy, mastectomy, and sentinel lymph node biopsy

Vascular Surgery

The vascular surgeons at ������� Langone Ambulatory Care Garden City treat people with diseases of the arteries and veins, including varicose veins, spider and reticular veins, lipodermatosclerosis, leg swelling, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), May-Thurner syndrome, pelvic congestion, and lymphedema.

Most procedures are performed on an outpatient basis and are minimally invasive: they are done without large incisions or the need for prolonged recovery. Patients are seen and evaluated at �����о��� Langone Ambulatory Care Garden City, and procedures are performed at �����о��� Langone Vascular Surgery Associates—Mineola, at 200 Old Country Road, Suite 120, in Mineola.

Our aim is to guide patients towards the best treatment option for their individual conditions. These are some of the methods we use:

• thermal ablation with endovenous laser therapy or radiofrequency ablation (EVLT or RFA)
• nonthermal ablation with Varithena or VenaSeal
• stab phlebectomy, or microphlebectomy, to remove varicose veins from the surface of the legs
• sclerotherapy for treating spider and reticular veins
• venography with intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) for treatment of deep venous disease

For conditions such as lymphedema or leg swelling, we evaluate, diagnose, and offer referrals for lymphedema pump therapy or lymphedema clinics for decongestive therapy.

Care for Children

Our pediatric experts provide comprehensive care for children in the following specialties:

We have been designated a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology for our patient care and safety. Breast imaging nurse navigators in our Cancer Navigator Program help coordinate all aspects of screening, mammography, diagnostic imaging, clinical evaluation, support services, and education for patients.
