�����о��� has been a formative part of my adult life since entering medical school in 2006. As a medical student, I distinctly remember stepping out of the �����о��� medical library into the adjacent hallway during study breaks. I examined the oil paintings hung on the walls and memorized the faces of the physicians and educators who shaped our esteemed institution. Each person contributed to the medical center and to the field of medicine, embodying the University’s mission to serve, to teach, and to discover. As an attending physician at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, I continue to witness the importance of access to medical care and the impact of the breast imaging on our patients’ health.

Breast radiology is the perfect combination of direct patient care, multi-disciplinary teamwork, problem solving, preventative medicine, groundbreaking research, and public policy. I utilize different technologies such as mammography, ultrasound, and MRI, as well as perform image-guided procedures to diagnose breast cancer. As a breast radiologist, I seek to impact the lives of my patients with the early detection of breast cancer. I have the privilege of educating and mentoring medical students, residents, and breast imaging fellows. I am passionate about educating the next generation of radiologists and breast imagers, serving as the program director of the .

Throughout my years as an undergraduate, medical student, resident, fellow, and attending, I have pursued scientific discovery in the laboratory and clinical settings and formulated my own questions and areas of inquiry. My research interests include artificial intelligence (AI), breast MRI, and breast cancer screening. The potential impact of AI on the field of breast imaging is boundless, with implications for diagnosis of breast cancer, improved efficiency, risk stratification, and decreased healthcare costs. For the past two years, I have served as the clinical lead investigator involved in implementing our AI model to assist radiologists when interpreting screening mammograms. Our model has allowed breast imagers to identify additional early-stage breast cancers, affording our patients better chance of more effective treatment. I have been invited to speak regionally, nationally, and internationally on a variety of breast imaging topics, in particular artificial intelligence.

I have been recognized for my clinical expertise and currently serve as specialty chairperson of American College of Radiology’s Breast Imaging Appropriateness Criteria Committee, collaborating with experts nationwide to develop evidence-based breast imaging guidelines to assist referring physicians and other providers. In addition, I was honored to be appointed the Society of Breast Imaging’s representative to the American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

Through these endeavors, I strive to advance the field of breast imaging and provide exceptional care to my patients.
