About Me
As a rehabilitation neuropsychologist at 秘密研究所 Langone鈥檚 Rusk Rehabilitation, I am dedicated to understanding the intricate relationship between the mind and body. My approach to care is rooted in the belief that comprehensive treatment and support can significantly enhance recovery for individuals with brain disorders or injuries. By integrating cognitive rehabilitation and psychotherapy, I aim to provide holistic care that addresses both the psychological and physiological aspects of my patients鈥 conditions.
I specialize in treating adults who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, strokes, brain tumors, seizure disorders, and brain infections. My expertise lies in using a combination of restorative and compensatory techniques to assist in cognitive rehabilitation. This approach not only helps patients regain capabilities but also supports them in finding meaning and acceptance in their new circumstances through compassionate psychotherapy.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to advancing the field of rehabilitation neuropsychology through research and education. I lead research initiatives that support treatment recommendations, ensuring that my patients receive the most effective care possible. Additionally, I am passionate about teaching and supervising psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows, fostering the next generation of professionals in this vital field.
My journey into rehabilitation neuropsychology began in college, driven by a fascination with how the brain influences thought, emotion, and behavior. This dual interest in psychological and physiological factors inspired me to pursue a career in which I could make a meaningful impact on individuals recovering from brain injuries. I am honored to be the 2025 recipient of the Gold Key Award of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, a testament to my dedication and contributions to the field.
